Nsukka Monarch builds 3.2 km road, lays foundation for international market for his community

The traditional ruler of Edem-Ani Ogwugwu in Nsukka local government area of Enugu State, Igwe Samuel Asadu, has constructed a 3.2 kilometre asphalt  road for his community.

The monarch also laid a foundation stone for an international market for the community.

Igwe Asadu, popularly known as Ogadagidi who is also the Chairman of  Enugu state traditional rulers council and estwhile chairman of South East council of traditional rulers and member board of trustees African traditional rulers council Nigeria chapter, had equally built a 20- bed space free hospital for his community. 

 Commissioning the 3.2km access road the monarch built for his community, the Chairman of Nsukka local Government Area Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa who stood in for the state governor, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah expressed gratitude and happiness for the singular efforts of the royal father.

The council Boss used the opportunity to call on good spirited individuals, non governmental organizations NGOs, donor agencies, philanthropists, corporate bodies, men and women in diaspora to emulate Igwe Asadu in developing their communities.

The Chairman urged other traditional rulers in the council area to organize town hall meetings to address issues bordering on their communities social development in synergy with the state government agenda.

Also speaking at the foundation laying stone of Eke Edem-Ani International Market, President General of Edem-Ani Ogwugwu ancient kingdom, Comr. Obute Jude Chinelo described Igwe Ogadagidi as a divine blessing bestowed on Edem-Ani Ogwugwu ancient kingdom to change the narratives of the community for international recognition, adding that the Monarch single handly built 20 bed space free hospital where patients take free treatment irrespective of their illment.

He recalled that Igwe Ogadagidi also fortified Edem-Ani security network, donated security gadgets, two SUVs for hands to hand operations of the community, sent nine indigenes of the community to overseas on scholarship, gave One million naira to 60 indigenes of the community to establish businesses, having earlier bought about 100 motorcycles for the Youths of the community among others.
