The Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru has charged newly inaugurated chairmen and members of boards and agencies of the state to provide strategic leadership and direction towards achieving the objectives of their respective institutions.
They are Ebonyi State Community and Social Development Agency and Ebonyi State Library Board
Speaking during the occasion at his office in Centenary City Abakaliki, Governor Nwifuru explained that the reconstitution of the boards and agencies was to strengthen their capacity to deliver on their mandates and advance the philosophy behind their establishment.
He noted that the mandate of Ebonyi State Community and Social Development Agency was closely aligned with the people-oriented agenda of his administration.
On the Ebonyi State Library Board, Chief Nwifuru said his administration was repositioning and equipping libraries across the state to promote learning, research and intellectual development among the people.
The Governor also used the occasion to swear in the Coordinator of Amasiri Development Centre, Chief Baron Enya and the Special Assistant on Internal Security for Afikpo Zone, Mr Obinna Eyum and urged the appointees to champion peace, security and sustainable social development in their areas.
