Catholic church commumerates Mother’s Sunday across the globe

Mothers have been advised to use the special gift God bestowed on them to build their families for a better society.
The Assistant Parish Priest of St Anthony’s Catholic Church Nguru Nsukka Reverend Father Bernard Ugwuda gave the advice during a Holy Mass to mark this year’s Mother’s Day.
He noted that God created women for a special role in the family, community and the nation, stressing that women can achieve whatever they want to achieve through unity and togetherness.
Reverend Father Bernard regretted that some mothers misuse their gifts, hence the crisis in the homes, communities and the society at large.
Correspondent Chinwe Mamah reports that mothers dressed in their uniforms in a procession offered sacrifices of thanksgiving to God.
