Governor Peter Mbah of ENUGU state flags off over 70 km road in Nsukka, two other LGAs

Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Mbah has flagged off Nguru – Ede-Obala – Lejja, and Aku – Ukehe – Egede – Affa – Akpakwume-Nze roads, spanning across three Local Government Areas namely Nsukka, Igbo-Etiti and Udi.

The over 70 kilometers road project, according to the governor, speaks to his administration’s commitment to growing the state economy exponentially that will be driven by the private sector and enabled by the government.

Government House Correspondent reports that while describing the roads as critical, the governor said they connect communities and people to opportunities, as well as boost economic activities in those areas.

He maintained that road infrastructure remains one of the key enablers for economic development and quality lifestyle.Earlier, the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Areas, Jude Asogwa while thanking the governor for the number of completed and ongoing projects in the Enugu North zone, named him “Nwannedinamba 1 of Nsukka zone” which translates to a brother from another place, following his sagacious and inclusive leadership.

Also, the Enugu North zone Special Adviser to the governor on political matters, Peter Okonkwor, the Managing Director Enugu North zone bus terminal, Prince Emeka Mamah, and the chairman of Nsukka Local Government Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Tony Ezemma, said the project when completed will ease the movement of goods, especially farm produce to various markets and also add value to landed properties in the area.
