Enugu State govt pledges it’s continue support to promote national security.

Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah, says his government is prepared contribute to issues that will promote national security.
He gave the assurance when a delegation of thirty-five officers from the Executive Intelligence Management Course 19, of the National Institute of Security Studies NISS, Abuja, visited him at Government House Enugu.
The Governor Mbah described the visit as timely and significant, especially in the face of evolving security challenges in the country.
He highlighted the importance of intelligence-driven security frameworks and emphasized his administration’s commitment to maintain peace and stability through collaboration with security agencies.
Governor Mba further outlined key measures adopted by his administration to strengthen security across the state, including investment in technology through its Command and Control Centre, community policing initiatives, and inter-agency cooperation.
Earlier the leader of the delegation, Olalekan Fashanu told Governor Mbah that the team was on a study tour of Enugu State in fulfillment of their course, which focuses on “Ethnic Militia and Resource Competition in Africa: Implications for National Security” He noted that the visit would enrich their understanding of sub-national security management and governance.
Correspondent Okechukwu Ezeona reports that the study tour is expected to feature engagements with critical stakeholders and site visits to relevant institutions across Enugu State, and provide an opportunity for the delegation to gain firsthand insights into Enugu’s security architecture, governance strategies, and development initiatives.
